ABOUT DR. MARTIN DAVIS, Director, NavalHistory.Com. Dr. Davis has a unique background that combines academic achievement and a commitment to American Naval history and community service. A WWII veteran of Atlantic and Pacific service in USS Pettit DE-253, he writes and lectures on a variety of topics pertaining to that period. He is the Executive Director of the Destroyer Escort Historical Museum.
